MARKETING - ENGINE OF BUSINESS
Every company has its own style of selling products & services . The name of a company does not make sense that it will make to the fortune 100 one day rather the efficient management of its resources & sound business environment makes it great. The leadership can give it a edge over its competitors .Business flows like a boat on a stormy sea. The leaders only set the direction to avoid the boat to sink & make sureto reach the port in time. But we have to remember that Michel Dell, Jach welch or Henry Ford are the captains of Titanics , which forgot to sink. Is there any simple process to benchmark them............

this is what you wrote in the post.
To a certain extent you are right and to a certain extent you are wrong. As you study marketing in detail, you would come to know that a name of a brand or firm is also important. A name should be such that it can be recalled at any given instant by their customers, current and prospective.
A good start.
